Services

Design it, write it, build it, run it.

These are grouped in the order they usually happen — identity first, then the words, then the website, then the machine it lives on. You can start at any point in that chain; most people arrive somewhere in the middle.

Design & words

Brand, artwork and copy

D/01

Branding & identity

A logo is the smallest part of this. What you actually need is a mark that survives being shrunk to a favicon and blown up to a shop board, a colour set that reproduces on a screen and on paper, a typeface pairing you can keep using, and simple written rules so the next person does not undo it.

You receive editable vector source files, not just flattened exports. They are yours — that is the whole point of paying for an identity.

Graphic design — print and digital

Visiting cards, letterheads, brochures, catalogues, danglers, standees, invitation cards, packaging and hoardings on the print side. Social posts, festival creatives, ad banners and email headers on the digital side.

Print artwork goes out press-ready — correct bleed, crop marks, CMYK separation and outlined fonts — at the size the printer actually asked for. Having spent years on both sides of that handover, I know exactly which file gets rejected and why.

Content writing

Website copy, company profiles, brochure and catalogue text, product descriptions, and the small awkward pieces most people put off — the about page, the founder's note, the caption under a photograph.

Written to be read by a customer first and a search engine second. Keywords matter, but a page stuffed with them converts nobody; the practical goal is that a visitor understands what you sell within one screen, and that the page still answers the question they typed into Google.

Build

Websites & software

W/01

Website design & development

Sites built around what your customer came looking for, rather than around a template's placeholder blocks. That means the enquiry path, the phone number and the thing you actually sell are not three scrolls down.

Mobile is designed first and desktop second, because for almost every business in this region most visits arrive on a phone over a patchy connection. Pages are kept light for the same reason.

WordPress development & care

Theme and plugin work, WooCommerce catalogues, enquiry forms, payment gateways and multi-language setups — plus the unglamorous half: keeping core, plugins and themes current without an update quietly taking the front page down.

Updates run against a backup, are verified with file checksums afterwards, and are rolled back if the site does not come up clean.

Joomla development & rescue

Joomla is where a lot of older business sites in India ended up, and many are now several major versions behind. I build new Joomla sites and bring neglected ones back — template rebuilds, extension audits, version upgrades and content migration.

Where an abandoned extension is the real problem, I will say so rather than patching around it for another year.

Custom PHP & small business software

When an off-the-shelf plugin does not fit how you already work — billing, stock, admissions, dispatch, simple CRM — a small custom application is usually cheaper than bending a large system out of shape.

Run

Servers, security & support

S/01

cPanel / WHM server administration

Full administration of cPanel and WHM servers — account provisioning, PHP version and handler management, Apache and PHP-FPM tuning, MySQL, DNS zones, mail routing and quotas, SSL issuance and renewal.

Including the parts that only matter when something is wrong: reading Apache error logs properly, telling a real load problem from a nightly package update, and knowing which alert is worth waking up for.

Website security hardening

Layered, and applied in the order that actually helps: a firewall with sane rate limits, a web application firewall with a maintained rule set, PHP execution blocked in every directory that accepts uploads, and file-level immutability on code that has no business changing by itself.

Every control is tested after it is applied — with a real request, against the real path. A block that returns the wrong status code is not a block, and on a cPanel server status codes lie more often than you would expect.

  • Firewall
  • WAF rules
  • Upload lockdown
  • Read-only code

Malware clean-up & incident response

If a site is defaced, blacklisted or sending spam, the order is: contain, find the entry point, then clean. Deleting the shell without finding the hole means it returns within the week — and it usually does.

Suspect files are quarantined with a manifest rather than hard-deleted, so there is evidence to work from and a way back. You get a written account of what was found, how it got in, and what changed.

Hosting, domains & business email

Domain registration and transfers with DNS pointed correctly from day one. Hosting on servers I administer, with a free SSL certificate, daily off-site backups, and mailboxes configured so your mail is not silently filed as spam by the large providers.

  • Domains
  • cPanel hosting
  • Free SSL
  • Off-site backups
S/05

Migrations & takeovers

Moving a site away from a host that is slow, insecure or unresponsive — files, databases and mailboxes together, because a migration that forgets the mail is not a migration.

Everything is restored and tested on a staging copy first. DNS is switched only once that copy is confirmed working, so there is no window where your site is down. If the previous developer is uncooperative, I can usually rebuild from a backup or a crawl.

  • Files + DB + mail
  • Staging first
  • No downtime window
S/06

Maintenance contracts (AMC)

A yearly agreement covering core and extension updates, security patching, backup verification, uptime and certificate monitoring, and a set allowance of content and artwork changes each month.

Clients on a contract get a direct number rather than a form. Most problems are found and fixed before anyone notices them.

  • Updates
  • Backup checks
  • Monitoring
  • Direct line

How a job runs

Four stages, and you sign off on each one.

  1. 01

    Brief & scope

We work out what the job actually is — in person if you are in Dehradun, on a call if you are not. You get a written scope, timeline and price. Not a number over the phone.

  2. 02

    Design & approval

You see the design before anything is built or printed. Two rounds of changes are included, and nothing moves forward until you have said yes to what it will look like.

  3. 03

    Build or press

Development happens on a staging URL you can watch. Print goes to plate only after you approve the final artwork in writing.

  4. 04

    Launch & handover

The site goes live with SSL and backups running, or the job is delivered. You receive every login, source file and vector artwork — registered in your name, not mine.
