Four things that make the first reply useful.

The address
The domain name, if the site already exists. Even a broken site tells me a great deal in thirty seconds.

What is wrong, or what is wanted
In your own words. You do not need to diagnose it — that is the job.

Who holds the logins
Domain registrar, hosting, and the site's own admin. If the answer is “the last developer, and he is not replying”, say so — it is common and it is workable.

If there is one. It changes the approach more than the budget usually does.

Can you take over a website someone else built?
Yes, and it is a large part of the work. Site, databases and mail are migrated, tested on a staging copy, and only then does the DNS change — so there is no window where you are offline. If the previous developer will not cooperate, I can usually work from a backup or rebuild from a crawl.
I already have a designer. Can you just build or host?
Yes. Send the artwork or the design files and I will build to them. Equally, if you only want the identity and copy and your own team will build the site, that is fine too — you will get properly prepared source files rather than flattened exports.
My site is hacked. What happens first?
Containment, then investigation, then cleaning — in that order. Deleting the visible damage without finding the entry point means it returns within days. You get a written account of what was found, how it got in, and what changed.
How long does a website take?
A straightforward business site is usually three to four weeks from approved design. Branding on its own is typically two to three weeks. E-commerce and custom software depend on scope, and you get a timeline in writing before any money changes hands.
What happens if my site goes down at night?
Servers are monitored and most problems are caught before anyone notices. If something needs a decision from you, you get a call. Clients on a maintenance contract have a direct number rather than a form.
Do I own everything at the end?
Yes. Domain, hosting logins, source code, editable design files and vector artwork are registered in your name and handed over. If you move to another developer or designer, nothing is held back.
